Equipped with the industry-standard SAE J1772 (Type 1) connector, this charger is compatible with most electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles sold in the United States. The J1772 connector has long been the standard for Level 2 AC charging on nearly all non-Tesla EVs.

Tesla Compatibility

Tesla vehicles use the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector. However, Tesla owners can easily charge with this unit by using a Tesla J1772 adapter, which has been included with many Tesla vehicles. With the adapter installed, Tesla models are fully capable of charging from this Level 2 charging station.

Charging Standard Information

The SAE J1772 connector has served as the primary Level 2 AC charging standard throughout North America for many years. Although several manufacturers have announced plans to transition future EV models to the North American Charging Standard (NACS), J1772 remains widely used across existing electric vehicles. Adapters are also readily available, allowing compatibility between the two charging standards during this industry transition.
